Omadillo Sidikov, Tashkent, Uzbekistan ("we") operates Hooktakes and is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@hooktakes.com.
What we collect
- Your email, to deliver your results and answer you.
- Footage you upload and data derived from it: transcripts with word timings, selected segments and rendered variants. Footage may show people and their voices; you confirm they agreed to its use (see our Terms).
- Product events such as "upload completed" or "variant downloaded", keyed by a random reference, without free text.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address and browser type, for security and abuse prevention.
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Payment details go directly to our merchant of record, Polar, and we never see your card.
Why we use it
To provide the Service you asked for (contract), to keep it secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and to meet legal duties such as tax records kept by our merchant of record (legal obligation).
What we never do
We do not sell your data, do not use your footage or transcripts to train models, and do not show your footage to anyone else.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare: hosting and file storage.
- Neon: database.
- Deepgram: speech-to-text.
- Anthropic: analysis of transcripts to find hooks, bodies and calls to action.
- Resend: email delivery.
- Sentry: error monitoring, without footage or transcripts.
- PostHog: product analytics events described above.
- Polar: payments, invoicing and tax, as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, under contractual safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Footage, transcripts and rendered variants: deleted 30 days after upload.
- Email and order records: as long as you are a customer and as long as tax law requires.
- Product events: up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to hello@hooktakes.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The Service is for businesses and people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change; the date above shows the latest version.
